An Initial no obligation casual consultation with you allows us to understand your goals and aspirations for your project. We will take the opportunity to explain to you our practice procedures, design philosophies and the significance of our proposed client - designer relationship.

Fees

It is important to us that our clients be aware of the costs for any architectural services early in the relationship. We are more than happy to discuss fees and services that are available to our clients and will provide written quotations once the scope of works has been determined.

Contractual agreement

A contractual agreement for architectural services between client and designer will be worked through collectively ensuring a satisfactory conclusion for all.

 

Pre design briefing

The pre design briefing is the most important stage. Here you will be ask to lay all your cards on the table, you should have by now given careful consideration as to all your wants and needs for this project.

 

Pre design

At this stage a preliminary site investigation and project analysis will be undertaken. Development controls and any restrictions and limitations imposed upon the site will be discovered. 

 

Conceptual design

This stage involves discovering the opportunities and resolving any restrictions imposed by the site or existing buildings and to start developing great architectural design solutions that will meet with - if not exceed - client expectations.

Preliminary design

At this stage the conceptual design will be refined and scaled preliminary drawings prepared.  We recommend at this point to engage the services of a quantity surveyor to provide a preliminary cost analysis.

Developed design and documentation - Resource consents

At this stage detailed design and documentation will be prepared as required to enable the lodgement of any resource consents required for the project.

 

Detailed design and documentation - building consent 

This is the last stage detailed design and documentation will be prepared as required to enable the lodgement of building consent.

Finalisation

Our project involvement ends upon handing over the detailed design and documentation to our clients for building consent logment.
